This student project is for the organization Apathy is Boring, which aims to increase millennial engagement in the democratic process through higher voter turnout.
The campaign involves folded pull-tab posters placed in high-visibility, high-traffic areas of university campuses, with each paper tab displaying an issue close to the hearts of students and young voters in their current election. Each tab's backside is a unique call to action to drive readers to resources and relevant information in order to help them educate themselves.
Once all the tabs are pulled off of the poster, additional messaging is revealed related to the election, giving them actionable steps related to voting and platform points.
The web portion of this project is a redesign of the existing Apathy is Boring website, approaching the site more as a highly accessible, reliable, non-partisan tool for providing voters with the key information they need to take action. The mobile site notes the person's location and, if an election is happening at that time, will pop up with a poll-station finding feature that shows your closest election or polling station and its hours.
